Hybrid to show textile manufacturing solutions at Make it British Live!
Mimaki’s exclusive distributor, Hybrid Services is to present a range of textile manufacturing solutions at the Make it British Live! exhibition, held in London. Formerly known as ‘Meet the Manufacturer’, the show prides itself on being the only sourcing event that exclusively showcases British manufacturers and producers.
Through its specialist textile reseller network, Hybrid has supplied printing systems to, and worked closely with, a substantial number of British textile printing businesses for over twenty years. The company has witnessed first-hand the continued growth in UK manufacturing, with advancements in digital printing helping productivity expand and volumes rise thanks to increased consumer demand for British-manufactured products.
Hybrid’s Textile Products Manager, Brett Platt, cites the opportunity to demonstrate the benefits of in-house production as a key influence in the company’s participation at the exhibition. “We’ll be showing how simple and effective short run production and sampling can be with Mimaki’s dye sublimation and direct to textile printers,” he states. “We’re looking forward to talking with UK fashion and textile manufacturers at the event and showing them how a relatively small investment in technology can really benefit their production processes.”
Hybrid’s stand will feature numerous application examples along with a Mimaki TS30-1300 dye sublimation printer, heat press and software. “Visitors will be able to see how easy it is to produce anything from design samples on the appropriate fabric to garment panels and rolls of fabric ready for make-up and even event signage – all on the one machine,” suggests Platt. “We’re keen to help visitors appreciate how readily Mimaki’s wide format textile printing systems can be integrated into design studios, traditional print operations and retail brands.”
Make it British Live! combines a traditional trade show format with a symposium, featuring speakers passionate about manufacturing in the UK. The event is being held at the Old Truman Brewery in London, from 23 – 24 May 2018 and full details can be found at www.makeitbritishlive.com.
