Platt joins Hybrid as Mimaki textile range further expands

Experienced textile industry professional, Brett Platt has joined Mimaki’s exclusive UK and Irish distributor, Hybrid Services as Textile Product Manager.

Mimaki’s textile printer range has been recently expanded with the announcement of a number of machines, including the entry level TS30-1300 dye sublimation printer which debuted at FESPA earlier this month.

“With a career in textiles spanning more than 20 years, Brett’s knowledge and experience make him ideal for the new role,” states Hybrid director, Phil Thomas. “Following several high profile product launches already this year, Mimaki’s direct to textile and dye sublimation printer range comprises an enviable array of solutions and Brett’s appointment has happened at the perfect time.”

Platt will work alongside Hybrid’s network of specialist textile resellers to support companies prior to their investment and throughout the life of their machine. “I’m keen to ensure Mimaki textile printer customers have everything they need to hit the ground running with their new machines,” comments Platt. “With the expert knowledge and key partnerships of our resellers, we can deliver all the elements that make up the perfect textile system – fabric, software, finishing kit and the printer – so that it fits seamlessly into a company’s workflow.”

Platt will be based at Hybrid’s Cheshire showroom which features a selection of the latest Mimaki textile printers. “With the availability of Mimaki’s new textile inks and printers,  we’re continuing to add to the hardware available to demo both at Hybrid and around the UK and Ireland with our resellers,” continues Platt. “I very much look forward to working with our partners at a hugely exciting time for Mimaki and digital textile printing as a whole.”
