Mimaki’s flatbed LED UV printers are capable of printing Braille thanks to the high quality of registration afforded by the hardware, the instant curing of the ink and the ability to accurately build up multiple layers of ink in order to create a raised print.
Using raised dots to represent the letters of the print alphabet, Braille is a tactile reading and writing system used by blind and visually impaired people. New developments in Mimaki’s RasterLink RIP software means highly accurate Braille printing is achievable, as the software ensures the design process is seamless, enabling characters to be created within standard design authoring packages.
- Raised elements are printable with clear or coloured ink
- Create signage, packaging and textured imprints on almost any object
- Ideal for proofing Braille content or creating one off signs and prints
“Mimaki makes printing for sight impaired users a simple part of the design and output process, thanks to its software integration, range of UV printers and the choice of inks available.”
